Playbill for Fifth of July at the New Apollo Theatre. Fifth of July ran for 511 performances at the New Apollo Theatre between 1980 and 1982. Reeve starred as Kenneth Talley, Jr. and Hogan was John Landis. Hogan also sang the song Your Loving Eyes in this play. REEVE (1952-2004, born in New York City) was an American actor and director. He is best known for playing the title role in four Superman films (1978-1987), but he worked hard not to be typecast as the Man of Steel. He has over 40 movies and TV shows to his credit as well as three Broadway performances: A Matter of Gravity (1976); Fifth of July (1980-1982), where he got first billing; and The Marriage of Figaro (1985). He was paralyzed after a horse riding accident in 1995 and became a spokesperson for spinal injury victims. He remained active in film, directing the acclaimed TV movie In the Gloaming (1997) and starring in the TV-movie remake of Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window (1998). HOGAN, born in 1951, is a Broadway actor with eight appearances on the Great White Way to his credit between 1976 and 1991, including a Tony-nominated performance in As Is (1985-1986). He's also appeared on 14 movies and TV shows between 1976 and 2006, including frequent appearances on Law & Order and two of its spinoffs, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
